What's included with your house plan order

There are five plan set options to meet your needs. With a few exceptions, all home designs are available as a construction set (described below). Each plan detail page lists the other plan set options available and their prices.

Option 1: Construction Set

Copies

The basic package of drawings that you need to build your home. Includes these documents:

Floor plans
Foundation or basement plan
Roof plan

Building sections
Typical wall sections
Miscellaneous notes and details

The included license is for building one house only. To build more than one house, please contact us for a multiuse building license.

Option 2: Reproducible Set

Copies

Building
License

For making minor changes to your house plans. Delivered on mylar, sepia, or vellum. Includes these documents:

Yes

Elevations
Floor plans
Foundation or basement plan
Roof plan

Building sections
Typical wall sections
Miscellaneous notes and details

The included license is for building one house only. To build more than one house, please contact us for a multiuse building license. Reproducible sets are not available with all house plans.

Changes to plans should only be made by qualified professionals. Houseplans, Inc. is not responsible for any changes made to plans by others.

Option 3: Single Set

Copies

For obtaining bids only. Stamped "Not for Construction." A contractor cannot legally build from plans marked this way. Includes these documents:

Elevations
Floor plans
Foundation or basement plan
Roof plan

Building sections
Typical wall sections
Miscellaneous notes and details

Single sets are not available with all house plans.

Option 4: CAD File Set

For use by design professionals to make substantial changes to your house plan. Includes these documents:

Miscellaneous notes and details
