David A. York ~ Brief Biography
David was born and raised in the Bay Area near Oakland, California. After graduating from De La Salle, he relocated south to attend San Diego State University. At SDSU he earned his science degree in 3 years and a national award for his thesis. Shortly thereafter, he was first published and later provided research for additional texts.
The majority of David’s professional career has been in the technology industry where he developed and managed products ranging from K-12 educational software, language translation, and wireless video. As a manager of people and projects in a variety of cities across the U.S and internationally, he designed and implemented process improvement models used to oversee the successful release of thousands of unique product deliverables.
David transitioned these skills to the real estate industry where he can use technology as a tool and also provide the personalized attention that people deserve.
Outside the office, David has tutored kids, coached youth soccer, and is a contributing writer for a monthly news periodical. He has a voracious appetite for books in addition to other interests including archery, hiking, comic book collecting, history, auto racing, and even chili peppers. Recently, David finished a five year journey to visit every California Mission along the El Camino Real and is making effort to write a book about the experience while volunteering as a docent for Mission San Luis Rey.
