Loan Checklist

When applying for a new loan, you will be asked to supply certain documents. Your mortgage consultant can help you determine which documents are applicable to your loan program. Below is a list of those most commonly requested:

  • Original W-2 forms for the last 2 years, for all applicants
  • Original paystub(s) covering the last 30 days
  • Complete bank and/or credit union account statements for the last 2 months
  • Original 401(k) and IRA Statements
  • If self-employed or paid on commission, supply federal tax returns for the previous 2 years
  • Complete copy of bankruptcy papers including discharge
  • Divorce decree and separation agreement along with proof of child support
  • Proof of receipt of child support payments for the last 12 months if you intend to use this income to qualify for your mortgage loan, or proof of payment if you are required to pay
  • Refinance - Name and phone number of homeowners insurance agent and payoff statement
  • Refinance - Copy of your property survey
  • Refinance - Original title policy
  • VA - Veteran - Original Certificate of Eligibility DD214
  • FHA/VA - Social Security card for all applicants
  • FHA/VA- Valid Drivers License for all applicants
